The Smithy

Sculpture of blacksmith working at anvil

(Not for sale)

Out of a bygone era when hard work and sweat were sanctified by craftsmanship and honour, the blacksmith plies his trade. As the hammer-blows fall and the orange sparks fly, the glowing strip of lifeless metal emerges into a horse shoe, or some useful household item. Each piece from the forge bears the personal mark of the skilled smithy depicted here in his honest toil.
